Frying
Pan Lake near Rotorua covers 38,000 square metres, being the worlds largest
hot spring with an average depth of 6 metres. The average lake temperature
is about 50 degrees or 121 Farenheight but reaches temperatures in excess
of 200C at it's deepest point. It is about 50 metres deep and has not been
active since its initial eruption.
