Indian Head on Fraser Island is a headland located at the end of Seventy Five Mile Beach on the eastern side of Fraser Island. It was named by Captain Cook when he passed by because of the aboriginal people he saw assembled there. The term "Indian" was used at that time for the native people of many lands.
