There are a number of bushwalks and scenic drives that take you to spectacular lookouts, cliffs, gorges, and waterfalls. The area is heavily forested with a mixture of rainforest, eucalypt, and woodlands. Fauna is rich and varied. Bird species include Lyrebirds, Satin Bowerbirds, Lorikeets, Eastern Whipbirds, and Brush-turkeys. The area also has the unusual Platypus.
