Kings Canyon in the Northern Territory is over 300 km from Alice Springs. The canyon has 300 metre steep walls above Kings Creek. There are a couple of noteworthy walks here. The 'Kings Creek Walk' is a 2 km walk which takes you down to the bottom of the gorge. The end of the walk leads to a platform affording views of the canyon walls above. The 6 km 'Kings Canyon Rim Walk' offers the opposite view looking down the canyon instead. It is a loop track that takes about 3-4 hour to circle the canyon.
