View of Auckland from Westhaven Marina near the Harbour Bridge. Westhaven is the biggest yacht marina in the Southern Hemisphere with nearly two thousand berths and moorings. The surrounding harbour is often filled with yachts giving rise to Auckland being known as 'City of Sails'. The marina has twice won the 'Blue Flag award' for its water quality and environmental management. There are a number of fine restaurants and cafes near the Marina and visitors often remark about the convenience of disembarking and eating a world-class meal minutes later.
