View of Rere Rockslide at Wharekopae Road in Ngatapa within the Gisborne region of New Zealand. This natural phenomena is the result of constant water flow from the Wharekopae River which over time has carved a smooth rock face allowing people to slide down it.
Riding the slide doesn't come without risks though. First you need a bodyboard, mat, or tyre tube. But if you are bumped off your board, sliding down a rock face can be a little painful. You also need to be careful entering the pool below as you can be travelling quite fast, so you need to allow enough time for the person before you to vacate the landing area.
