Te Raukura, also known as Te Wharewaka o Poneke is a building located on the Wellington waterfront. It is a conference centre with a cafe and bar. The location of the building is significant to local Maori as it was once harbour frontage to Te Aro Pa. The Pa (Maori village) was one of the largest Maori communities in Wellington before the 1880’s. For this reason, the building also houses two waka (Māori canoes).
