View of Tonga Bay in Abel Tasman National Park. The beach itself forms part of the famous 'Abel Tasman Track' which is a renown coastal walk highlighting some of New Zealand's best beaches. Besides the main walk, there are other tracks as well as services that rent kayaks allowing you to navigate the coastline and visit areas the main track misses out on. Sea taxis are another option for park access. They drop passengers on a number of selected the beaches. Behind the beach are large tracts of temperate rainforest that host a number of swimmable rivers and streams.
