Putangirua Pinnacles can be accessed from the coastal route around one hours drive south of Martinborough. A walk starts at a carpark and signposts the way to the Pinnacles. You have the choice to walk up the side of the valley to get an all encompassing view or walk along the riverbed and among the pinnacles themselves.
