Rewarewa (Knightia excelsa) also known as New Zealand Honeysuckle is an evergreen tree endemic to the low elevation and valley forests of New Zealand's North Island and Marlborough Sounds. It can attain heights between 18-30 metres. Deep red flowers combine to form what appears to be a single flower in September and October. Rewarewa flowers are a great source for honey production. |
