This part of the Waikato River is known as Paradise, (Waihunuhunu is its Maori name). Thermal heat jets rise up from the riverbed and heat up the surrounding still water in this culdesac part of the tiver. Accessible by boat, it is a great place to take a dip in the warm water. It can get quite hot if you venture close to a jet, but it is easy to swim around and navigate these hotter spots.
