About Rural Wellington
The Wellington region is densely populated by New Zealand standards. Outside the main populated areas are rural districts that are highly productive given the damp climate. Important rural areas include Whitemans Valley, Wainuiomata, Upper Hutt, and Kapiti. The latter is a renown for its rural produce. A popular dairy brand called Lindale comes from Kapiti.
