This statue celebrates one of rugby's greatest players, Sir Colin Meads who was born in Te Kuiti on the 3 June 1936 and sadly died on the 20 August 2017. He is widely considered one of the greatest players in world history to grace rugby. He played 55 test matches and was named Player of the Century at the NZRFU Awards in 1999. |
