Amadee Island is a small coral isle popular with tourists. It has an old lighthouse that was made in France and is a good marker for locating the island.
Amadee is popular with tourists as it offers diving in the coral reef, swimming, and beautiful beaches ideal for relaxing and soaking up a bit of sun. Although the island is very similar to many other smaller isles in New Caledonia, it is its location to Noumea, a mere 20 km away, that draws many tourists.
On the island, you can hire snorkelling gear at the local wharf before being taken in a small boat to a nearby coral reef.
