New Plymouth is a city located in the Taranaki Region near the iconic Mount Taranaki. The city serves the region's principal industries such as dairy farming and oil, natural gas & petrochemical extraction and production. Notable city attractions include Pukekura Park, Len Lye Centre and Art Gallery, the Coastal Walkway, the Len famous artwork known as the Wind Wand.
The most notable landmark is nearby Mount Taranaki, a near conical shaped volcno that stands out from the surrounding countryside.
