Royal Tombs - photos

The Royal Tombs on the south side of Laifone Road in Nuku’alofa is a park like area where Tongan royalty has been buried since 1893.King George I, King George II, Queen Salote, King Taufa'hau Tupou IV and most of their various wives and husbands are buried at the center of the field.
The spacious park area is opposite the basilica and is off limits to the public.
