Atata is a small fishing village on sole settlement on the Tongan island of Atata. This island is in the Tongatapu group about 30 minutes by boat from Nuku'alofa Harbour on Tongatapu Island.
Atata has a big sandy beaches and excellent diving. There is a resort on one side of Atata Island (the most scenic part). Atata village is located in the middle of the island with some plantations beyond that.
The island has an area of approximately 100 acres.
